The only thing I will add is B2K was missing but that’s lost history at this point for everyone it seems; and that everything the boy bands of Y2K learned, they got from Boyz II Men and the history of that is kind of nefarious, as America can never not be when it comes to black people, but we will have to move past that and stick to the point that Boyz II Men may not be of this era but they were FOR this era lol.
Madeline ilysm but this episode has helped me discover I don’t think I like this era of music very much lol. Thanks for introducing me to the call tho!
Should I kill myself … LMFAOOOOO I love y2k era music so much I can’t imagine not liking it but it does make sense if you weren’t growing up during it not imprinting on it like I did !!
I'm agreeing with so much of this (Brandy's Cinderella is the only Cinderella we need exactly), but I laughed out loud at you saying that boyband members are not sexual beings. Finally, someone else who gets it.
Oops!... I Did It Again was also my first album (albeit a pirated version my mom got me lol) and I feel like we’re very similar with similar music tastes. I think shit like that defines your whole life.
You such great taste. Stuns me every time I’m reminded lol.

I too am not shutting up about "The Call" what an INCREDIBLE song, there's nothing like it.
Speaking of Y2K and blink, I'm liking Mark Hoppus's memoir so far! Captures the era and their music scene pretty well 🩵
Oh I might need to read that!!!

Yeah I was born in the middle of y2k so I was too young for any of it to stick 😔 The early 2010s tho….now that was some real food!!!!

As an elder millennial, I’m clapping and cheering!
i knew this episode was recorded before the release of rain by sunday (1994) because that IS the song of this summer and every summer after it
Oh lol Lana just announced in an instagram video that the album is postponed and the title is changed
