is this the same Gianna (who liked this post) who called in for phone a snake??? please tell me you are going to the DC show, because I want to meet ur ass! anyone who says they want to watch the world burn for amusement is my cup of tea lmaoooooooo
I was born the year this came out but was always behind the times in my love of art. I was 11 when I discovered skater boi and was was 15/16 when i illegally downloaded and burnt Let Go on cd and played that shit everyday. Very impactful. Let Go, Fallen and Speak Now being your sonic life at the same time at age 15 changes your fucking brain. Some people cannot fathom.
This project of yours has inspired me to make my own ESSENTIAL ALBUMS List and I wanted to share it. I know one of these albums is not a popular one among the lizard nation but I must live and speak my truth so again THANK YOU SO MUCH for inspiring me and creating The Lizard Review which is a safe space for so many.🦎🫶💚
My ESSENTIAL Albums
I started way back in 2002 when music became more than background noise, it became my best friend, my escape from reality and more often an escape from myself. It became my own life line. I wanted to compile a list(in no particular order) of albums that define me. If some one asked me to describe myself than this is what they would receive. My ESSENTIAL ALBUMS. Some of these albums are current and some are 20 years old but each one holds a special place in my heart and they each unlock the very different and complex aspects of being Myself..a imperfect human who at the end of the day is just trying to survive in this thing called life..These albums Saved me in every way possible.
what a great episode! i, too, was a 9 year old girl who heard complicated and thought, this is the opposite of britney and i'm not like other girls for liking avril. shel was my first celebrity obsession, my style inspiration, the thread that connects all my music taste to this day.
side note, is there a chance at all that the essential albums series will feature a man? 😄
Oh my god I am so serious, I was listening to Let Go earlier today and thinking about it a lot. Thank you lizard for taking me back to my early teenage years 💗
As I read the description and a fellow 90s girlie I just KNEEEW this had to be our queen Avril Lavigne Let Go. LFGGGGG respect where it is due!!!!!!!! The girlie's just aren't talking about this one enough!!!!!!! Thank you I can't wait to finish the episode lol
