This entire Blake lively drama... I don't care to get into Blake vs Justin because I support a woman's wrong etc etc but also if everyone is avoiding Justin it has to be him, you know, the common denominator and all.
BUT what I don't like is what Blake is doing with the promotion of the movie. If you want to do a movie so you can launch your hair care business, do a simple rom Com movie, adapt a light themed book but don't make a movie on such serious topics and say "wear your florals and head to the cinema" and for that I can see why people are hating on Blake. She is deflecting all serious interviews with haha I am so likeable, I am so funny and that is giving mean girl behavior.
Just to add to the Blake Lively/Justin Baldoni conversation. I think it’s fair to be annoyed and critical of Blake and other members of the cast and how they are promoting the movie as if it’s a romcom and not a pretty serious story about DV, from my understanding (haven’t read the book myself). Just seems pretty tone deaf to me. Plus promoting an hair care line. It all just seems like a cash grab and it’s off putting to me. 🤷♀️ Also, the fact that Ryan Reynolds had his hands in the movie at all is annoying. Him rewriting scenes during the writer’s strike makes him a scab. Simple as that. There are a lot of people questioning why all of the actors unfollowed Justin, and that’s a bad look for sure, but apparently the crew stayed following him? There’s more to the story there that we don’t know is all I’m saying. My sister in law said that she read that Ryan and Blake’s goal for this movie was an Oscar. Justin’s goal, as the director, was DV awareness and he’s been working on this film for 5 or 6 years. Two totally different goals and they speak volumes in my mind.
Didn't it come out recently that Bruno Mars has a bunch of gambling debt or something? Kind of funny to imagine him being like "Hmm I need some cash, let me make a hit real quick"
Madeline, for what it's worth, you would love Jane the Virgin. Justin Baldoni is one of the main characters on that show. It was on the CW at the same time as Crazy Ex-Girlfriend (aka my mecca of television, along with Gilmore Girls)
Probably for the best. The album gets more and more underwhelming the more it goes on lol It’s not unlistenable to me personally but I get why it would be a snooze fest to others
