LMFAOOOOOOOOOOOOOO It’s so funny because I went looking for like a romantic/valentine’s day coded intro but all of them were like…sad piano ballads?? And that’s not really the vibe so then I remembered I had this Paris intro music from when I did an episode about Paris by Taylor Swift and I was like …. what if…..LMFAO

Ok you hated the cardigan I should have known 😂 thank you for this analysis I adore speak now, it’s a top 3 Taylor album for me. I think it has the best vault songs of all the TV’s, they all make sense to me. Foolish one is 10/10, chefs kiss. I will never not be annoyed that the speak now set on eras got one song by the time it hit Europe. Even two was not enough. But we got 22 ? I knew you were trouble? And the man ? Not mine? Not sparks fly? At least I got mine in surprise songs in Liverpool N1. I just prayed for any song at all from speak now in my 3 shows. ANY OF THEM

interesting! when i close my eyes and think about taylor, the taylor in the delicate video in the blue dress comes up. i guess this is proof of the fact that i became a casual fan through delicate. i loved the music video and the dance. haha, maybe that's cringe, but it's true 😜

Madeline!!! This analysis was so well done! When the Speak Now (Taylor’s Version) vault tracks were announced, Foolish One was the title that stood out to me the most. Just those two words instantly sparked something in me. When I finally heard it, everything clicked. Tears were shed, emotions were felt, and through Taylor’s magic, I felt at peace by the end of the track. It has since become one of my favorite songs by Taylor, and I truly believe that it encapsulates Speak Now (Taylor’s Version) in the best way. Absolutely amazing work. 💜

Amazing analysis of one of Taylor's best tracks!! 💞

I always think the lyric "not the exception" is a reference to He's Just Not That Into You, which is another layer of heartbreak because the movie ends with the main girl maturing but then getting the guy anyway because she IS the exception. Like Taylor is still hoping (even as she matures!) that the guy will prove her wrong 💔But sometimes being a romantic is about having those self-indulgent daydreams when you're sad!!

I was nodding along the whole hour - you really ate with this one 🙂‍↕️ Speak Now is truly whimsically romantic at it’s core and has depth that I think a lot of us wish Lover had more of. It was the original source of miserable and magical tales of love 💜

I LOVE the sound of I can see you (and would love for her to do more like that), but foolish one is the diva. Should’ve been on the album in 2010.

And I think speak now’s sister album is TTPD. There is something volatile, vulnerable and verbose about TTPD that feels more like speak now than red (which I’ve seen in conversation before).

I had never thought about speak now in relation to lover. I see where you’re coming from, and will be re-listening to both, but lover has always felt too corporate for me.

And for ts12, I’m really interested in her discussing her legacy. Not just in a I love my fans way.
