A lizard with a blog…?

Some of you may know me from the Taylor Swift podcast entitled The Evolution of Snake – available wherever you stream podcasts (shameless plug) – and some of you may know me from the occasional appearance on the NOTED YouTube channel the Swiftologist (another shameless plug), or even from being annoying on Instagram stories @madelizardqueen or on twitter @madelizard. Or you don’t know me at all. In which case – you should know my legal name is very unfortunately NOT Lizard. My name is Madeline.

I graduated college and got stuck in the never-ending hamster wheel in hell known as the SERVICE INDUSTRY; and while the experiences of being a waitress and barista have shaped me into a more well-rounded, much more patient, and all around better person that handles stress and unfortunate human beings like a pro, it’s not something that I recommend that anyone do for eleven straight years, nor is it something that I ever for one second enjoyed doing.

This is a podcast and newsletter about the thing I do enjoy doing the very most in the entire world; speaking, writing, and talking about music. All music. Any music. Your music. My music. Your dad’s music. MY dad’s music. I’ll even try the radio station you leave on for your dog to keep them company while you’re out all day. I subsist off of music recommendations and new releases, I live to create playlist, and most importantly, I don’t believe in guilty pleasures. I like what I like. I love what I love. I may occasionally try to convince you to love what I love, but I will never try to convince you to dislike what I dislike.

I want to write and talk about it all, from the absolute biggest pop record of the year, to the crusty band you’ve never heard of that’s still operating out of a van. I want to tell you what music I care about, and hear about what music you care about.

And I mean that!
