This past weekend I took my mom to see "Song Sung Blue" because Neil Diamond is to her what Taylor Swift is to me. She is a STAN. We went in thinking the movie was a Neil Diamond biopic. I won't give anything away, but it is NAWT a Neil Diamond biopic, and it really has nothing to do with him at all except very tangentially. That said, it blew us away! SUCH a good movie. Kate Hudson should get an Oscar for this role. Highly recommend if anyone is looking for a new movie to watch.

Have you seen the Talented Mr. Ripley? I bet you’d like it. Thriller from the 90s.

I saw Sinners in the theater and I loved it!!! That and Wicked 2 got me in the theater this year. And Taylor’s Showgirl release.

I was in a book club for years and we would each take turns picking out the next book to read. It’s really hard for me to read a book I don’t enjoy. At the same time I can disappear into a book that I do enjoy.

You might like Harvest of Empire by Juan Gonzalez. It’s kind of like reading a Wikipedia page. It’s facts sectioned into decades and countries but it doesn’t read like a textbook

Also it sounds like you might be more interested in non fiction rather than novels. If you like going into rabbit holes and learning a lot about little things that say things about larger concepts I have some ideas. Everything is Tuberculosis by John Green is right up your alley. Also Disney Adults by AJ Wolfe is really interesting and speaks to some societal issues that impact how people view predominantly female subgroups. The Other Significant Others by Rhaina Cohen is about friendship and having your friend be your most important relationship and I think you’d really like it. Little Bosses Everywhere by Bridget Read. About pyramid schemes is another one I think you’d like! Just some off the top of my head. I used to hate reading and I never did it but now I read a lot.
